Polly Patterson has been the Button Coordinator for GFC for several years and she always does a magnificent job! The Raise 27 Project was yet another project that required significant time and coordination by Polly to make sure that 950 Buttons, Mirrors and Magnets were mailed out all over the world. We received this note from Polly on April 4, which shows just how much work is involved in such an endeavor! We'd like to thank Polly for all she does for GFC, JGF and all the fans!

Hi, Everyone,

As the Raise 27 drive in honor of Josh's 27th (Golden) Birthday, to earn money designated for Siyawela, comes to a close, it's interesting to look back at what has just been accomplished. For me, it's the mailing of buttons and magnets to the donors who have ordered them. It seems like such an easy thing to put a button into an envelope and drop it into the mail, but it is never just that easy!! Each GFC auction, drive or campaign brings with it different challenges and new experiences with regards to mailing and shipping the buttons, magnets, and this time mirrors too. For Raise 27, the challenge was International Shipping!!

I hope you will find this small report interesting and informative and at the same time, I hope you will gain a greater understanding of what is sometimes done to get those buttons/magnets/mirrors into the mail to countries outside of the United States. The task is sometimes daunting, but at all times rewarding.
